Kristina Lerner : ‘Isolation’ Series (Photography)

Any series – are, in one way or another, the reflection of the author’s personal experience. For the past couple of months I very rarely left the house, when I did it was only at night when I went to work or in case of an urgent matter. I did not answer the phone and rarely checked my e-mails. Most of the time was spent attempting to answer the questions which had accumulated over the past years.

Christophe Caudroy : ‘Home’ Series (Photography)

I have lived in eight houses in six cities. I’ve learned not to be attached to them. They’re just nice places. My house as a child was always my Grandmother’s. For more than fifty years, my family met there for parties and vacations.

Krystina Stimakovits : ‘Thresholds’ (Photography Book)

What is it within the life-less fragments of our physical environment that either stirs our psyche or leaves us indifferent? Is it the underlying patterns of geometric lines and forms as Kandinsky’s theories might suggest? Or is it the angle of fleeting light falling upon surfaces? Alternatively, is it simply whether or not objects and textures depicted manage to catalyse in us significant memories, however sub-conscious?

Jehsong Baak : Photography Series

Baak freely acknowledges that Robert Frank and Joself Koudelka have served as inspirational mentors in his work. The parallels in the lives of these three photographers are striking as are the basic themes of their work. Yet Baak maintains his own visual language and context that is complex and poignant, creating a personal path so that his work serves as confessions and insights into his persona and life.

Charlotte Thoemmes : Photography Series

Natural environments and urbanized areas inspire my images, in which I present questions that range from identity to mortality. In my imagery, I attempt to explore places where a dialog emerges between the inner world of people and the environment
