Linus Lohoff : ‘Subjects’ (Photography Series)

“Things from the beach at the beach, where the light makes them look like sculptures or installations. This light gives them importance and beauty even if they’re just small buildings of human creation.”

Ali Chraibi : ‘Downtown Memories’ (Photography)

‘Downtown Memories’ series captures classically un-photogenic neighborhoods of Marrakesh through nicked and dirty car windows panes. Shooting encased in a moving vehicle, Chraibi managed to achieve well-composed, satisfyingly grainy images specked with points of light. He shows the true nature of the constructions of a city by taking us on a journey into a universal city. The shapes and shades of black & white structures seem familiar, but the vision is blurred and distant, through rain and fragmented light.

Stephan Zirwes : Snow (Photography)

Hundreds of meters above the ground with a climbing harness, hanging out of an open helicopter, Zirwes composes his graphical abstracting photographs. His work shows patterns, structures, connections, boarders, uniformities and contrasts but also current political and sociocritical themes. The orthogonal view of his photographs reduces the space into two dimensions.

Brancolina : ‘Jewish Museum in Berlin’ (Photography)

Nothing is unimportant. There is no place without history, where you can just do what you want. Every place speaks in a unique way. It needs to communicate a certain way and to appeal to people. Architecture is an art of communication – not with words, but with proportions and with an aura. Every building must tell a story. – Daniel Libeskind

Pierre Pellegrini : ‘Waterscapes’ Series (Long Exposures)

“For me, photography represents a wonderful means to communicate and, at the same time, to give the viewers the chance to feel emotions. I am not quite sure if it’s me who is looking for the themes or if it’s the themes themselves who are looking for me.
